Now you are thinking about where to go for winter vacations? Well, you choice is deeply depends on what exactly you would like to have, except changing the place and activity.
If you are eager to change the season also, consider whether your kids will travel with you. Because doctors say it is not good to change weather conditions from very cold to very hot, especially for a short period of time. Sometimes it is not even good for adults either... Loads during air transfer, acclimatization and loads from hot sun and unusual humidity - believe, this is not the rest for your body.
However, if the change of the season is not that significant and can be called a smooth one- why not to fly to the resorts, which greet guests from all over the world all the year round? For example, Bahamas.
The subtropical and tropical climate makes the island a good destination year-round. The Gulf Stream and tradewinds help maintain temperatures from 68 to 86 degrees during the day and 62 to 70 at night. The seawater temperature ranges from 73 degrees in February to 82 degrees in August. The seasons are summer (from June till September) and winter (from October till May). The Bahamas "winter" is the time, when most North Americans and Europeans visit the resort. The period from December till April is the high season, and from May till October is the rainy season. The months from June till November are the official hurricane season, but storms can crop up either earlier or later.
Jamaica? Nothing is a problem on Jamaica paradise where reggae, romance and the Caribbean sun come together. Land in the bustling tourist center of Montego Bay and discover a variety of great beaches, attractions and shops. For a more laid-back atmosphere, head to the seven miles of spectacular beach in Negril. Stay in lively Ocho Rios and climb the 700 foot cascading waterfalls at Dunn's River Falls. Falmouth, Braco and Runaway Bay are growing resort areas that offer popular hotels and fabulous all-inclusive resorts. Wherever you go on this island paradise, the friendly smiles of the Jamaican people will make you come back here again and again.
Costa Rica? For those seeking for a warm-weather winter vacation Costa Rica is a place to visit. Costa Rica's temperatures vary little with the season, ranging from the mid-70s to mid 80s. The northern Pacific beaches have the highest temperatures and the most sunshine. On the higher slopes of the mountain cloud forests, you can expect temperatures in the mid 60s to mid 70s. Many visitors go to Costa Rica in traditional winter, that lasts from December till April. However, more and more people are discovering the resort pleasures during the period from April till October, the Green Season. Morning sunshine and late afternoon showers make the countryside lush and green, reservations are easy to come by, and prices are the lowest.
Puerto Vallarta? Summer months are warmer, with highs in the upper 80s, but the sea breeze keeps it cool and comfortable. It seldom rains in winter. Hurricane season is the period August - October, and that is when it is most likely to rain. October through May are generally the driest months; during the peak of the rainy season (June-September), it may rain for a few hours daily. But the sun often shines for the rest of the day, and the off-season rates may well compensate for the reduced tanning time.
Wherever you go, try to make your winter vacations unforgettable!
