What will be a new record of Cedar Point Park?

The Cedar Point Park has sixteen roller coaters, more than any other amusement park in the world. The sixteenth roller coaster, Top Thrill Dragster, was introduced in 2003 as the tallest and fastest roller coaster of four hundred and twenty feet height and one hundred and twenty meters per hour speed. This is only one of the reasons why the Cedar Point Park has been rated as number one amusement park through the years and three million visitors visit the park every year.

The Cedar Point Park has more rollers coasters and it has the best out of them. The park constantly sets new records in introducing new fantastic roller coasters and has tons of impressions and experiences for both: a first-time rider and a regular visitor. The oldest roller coaster at the Cedar Point Park is the Blue Streak, which is now forty two years old and has given more than fifty four million rides since 1964.

The Millennium Force has been a unique ride at any times. When the Millennium Force debuted in 2000, it was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world of three hundred and ten feet height and ninety three meters per hour speed. Consider the following facts. More than four hundred steel support columns were used to build this terrific coaster, which is higher than the Statue of Liberty in New York City. The first drop on the Millennium Force is at eighty-degree angle and the Millennium Force is the first to use an elevator cable lift system to take trains to the top of its first hill of three hundred and ten feet height. The Millennium Force was the first roller coaster on the planet, called "giga coaster" for its height.

The Magnum is another sensation at the Cedar Point Park. Being five thousand one hundred and six feet long, the Magnum has three six hundred and eighteen-foot-long tunnels of white-knuckle terror. More than one hundred tons of nuts and bolts and five hundred and sixty eight tons of steel were needed to build this giant monster. It has a lift chain that is one thousand and sixty feet long and weighs nearly four tons.

In 2003, the Cedar Point Park opened its 16th roller coaster, Top Thrill Dragster, which was the first "strata coaster" in the world. The "Strata coaster" means any coaster to break the elusive four hundred-foot-tall barrier. This marvelous scream machine is one hundred and ten feet taller than the Cedar Point's world famous Millennium Force and has an ascent of ninety degrees and a descent of ninety degrees, which is straight up and straight down. One hundred and twenty mph is the speed, which riders experience both during the launch and during the drop.

In 2006, the Cedar Point Amusement Park will add a new ride - Skyhawk, which will be the tallest ride of its kind in the world. The Skyhawk will have two huge swinging arms, each eighty four feet in length and with twenty seats on each arm. Each set of twenty seats will consist of two rows of ten seats, set back to back so that each rider will have a feeling that he rides in a front row. Using the pneumatic technology, riders will be thrilled, as they are pushed toward the sky, then experience weightlessness as they reverse the direction and rush back toward the ground. The ride will open right on the day of the season beginning - May 6, 2006.

What concerns its record-setting rides, the Cedar Point Park is highly scrupulous about its entertainment. "Snoopy's Summer Vacation," a dynamic ice show, starring Snoopy and featuring the PEANUTS characters and fifteen professional skaters, debuted at the Cedar Point in 2005. PEANUTS is the most widely read comic strip in the world, appearing in more than two thousand and six hundred daily newspapers in seventy countries in twenty one languages with an astonishing three hundred and fifty million readers worldwide. Today, the live performance of Peanuts is quite popular at the Cedar Points Park.

As the Cedar Point Park adores records, it strictly follows its rules in everything. It has more than fifty different food locations throughout the park and resort, plus fifteen sit-down restaurants. The average number of costumes each of the Cedar Point's live shows uses during one performance is one hundred and twenty and the number of drinking fountains, found within the park, is forty one.
