What Fair Skin Complexion Says About

In the 19th century and earlier, being as pale as possible was desirable in certain countries, particularly the United States and some European nations. Everything changed when when the designer Coco Chanel returned from a vacation to the French Riviera with a deep tan and started a new fashion craze. Suddenly, tans were the badges of the rich. But despite the free availability of the sun, some people still can only dream about it. These are fair complexioned people.

When the sun's ultra violet rays penetrate the skin they injure living cells, making them swell and the skin burn. In an effort to prevent further injury, your skin develops a tan - but this, in fact, is its attempt to defend itself against the harshness of the sun. When ultraviolet radiation hits your skin, it stimulates cells known as melanocytes, which make a brown pigment called melanin. The melanocytes respond to the sun by making even more melanin to protect your skin from the sun. But fair skin complexion of your body shows that the protection of your organism, due to the lack of melanin is very weak. This very substance determines the color of  the dermis, and the less melanin people have the whiter their skin is. Fair skin complexion is rather vulnerable for sun exposure, and if  you are sunexposed even for some minutes, your skin will be covered with freckles, which alike big spots. The reason lies in 'melanin'- a pigment in the skin of  a person. Different people have different amounts of melanin in their skin. Those with a Northern European background tend to have less melanin and be rather pale, whereas people with dark brown or black skin, like many people from Africa, have more. The melanin acts sort of like an umbrella for the skin's cells and can give people the brown tint that is a suntan. Brown-skinned persons have an ability to absorb UV, people with fair skin complexion have not this ability.  Thus it is a natural sunscreen, and is probably the reason that the fair skin complexion is the most  easy to be damaged by the sunlight.
Based on these differences, dermatologists have come up with six skin types, ranging from a Type I (fair skin, blonde or red hair, and always burns in the sun) to a Type VI (black skin and usually doesn't get sunburned). People who are a Type V or VI have more natural protection against the sun than those who are a Type I or II, but that doesn't mean they should ignore warnings about sun exposure.   You may not think of your skin as much more than a wrapping for your body, but it is your largest organ and the main barrier between your body and the environment. It also contains cells that help your immune system fight off infections. Besides, the color of your skin may tell more than you think. For example, fair skin complexion says that you are at the risk group of skin cancer. Skin cancer can happen to anyone, however the risk is greatest for people who: have fair skin complexion, have blonde, red, or light brown hair,  blue, green, or gray eyes.
These people always burn before tanning, and burn easily while to obtain a tan  spend a lot of time outdoors.Fair skin complexion of body indicates that tha melanin -amount in your organis is too little to obtain the desirable chocolate tone. You will never tan, but burn. Besides, fair skin color is vulnerable for photo-aging, and premature aging, developing leathery, lined skin years before their time. But how to prevent this? , ask you. It is easy- just wear appropriate sunscreen, when going outdors, and keep far from direct sunlight.
