Shenzhen China is located on the middle south coast of the Guangdong Province and it is one of the earliest special economic zones in China. To its west, is the Zhujiang, Pearl River and to its south is Hong Kong. Its sea is a part of the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. It is a natural port city with Danya Bay in the east and the Lingding Sea to the west.
Shenzhen has a subtropical marine climate with plenty of rain and sunshine which makes visiting Shenzhen perfect for all year round. It is never super hot in summer and the season can last for about six months. It is mild in spring, autumn, and winter. It isn't very cold in winter. The average annual temperature is about 22.4 degrees Celsius with the lowest temperature being about 1.4 degrees Celsius. The years' frost free period can be about 355 days. The rainy season lasts from about May to September. Typhoons usually occur in the summer and the autumn, but luckily the mountains obstruct most typhoons.
Shenzhen is a newly up and coming tourist city with all of the tourist facilities. There are so many great historical and cultural sites to see when visiting Shenzhen. The China Folk Villages are among them. This is a fun place that recreates 24 ethnic minority villages from throughout China in downtown Shenzhen. The villages present ethnic architectural styles, folk customs, art and music. Various replicas of various scenic spots are here including a stone forest from Yunnan and a coconut forest from Hainan. There is a huge folk song and dance party here every evening.

Window of the World Park contains examples of wonders from all over the world like the Pyramids of Egypt, the Amon Temple of Karnak, the Ankor Wat of Cambodia, The Grand Canyon in America, The arch of Triumph in Paris, and much more. Each place is represented as a wonderful miniature replica. Some spectacular large attractions are available also such as the 108 meter tall Eiffel Tower. Reach to it top and you can in the beautiful scenery of Shenzhen and of Hong Kong.
Litchi Park is an urban park composed of many pretty pavilions and landscaped gardens located in the Futian District. There are some nice palm trees here. The Botanical Gardens are designed according to the traditional Chinese garden design and there are some 3,000 plants and trees here. The gardens are large, green, and clean which is a change from the rest of this concrete city.
Sampling local food specialties is a must when visiting Shenzhen. Apart from Yue food, Chaozhou food, and Kejia food, there is much local food in Shenzhen, such as Beijing food, and Sichuan food. In Nan-ao Bay, you can expect fresh and local seafood and it is great to sample some unusual sea creatures.
The sea in Shenzhen is abundant with rare sea animals. The beach here is a real pleasure and the bay overlooks Hong Kong because it is only 1,000 meters across the rivers. With everything that it has to offer visiting Shenzhen is a real unique experience that will not be soon forgotten.
