Even we all love to ice cream on a hot day, and although ice cream is typically American, the US cannot claim its origin. USA ice cream was introduced here from Europe, but its history goes way back. The origins of ice cream can be traced back to the 3d or 4th century B.C. We are lucky to live in the time and age when we have numerous brands, flavors and varieties of USA ice cream to choose from.

The Chinese are generally credited for creating the first ice creams, possibly as early as 3000 BC. Edy's is also credited with concocting peppermint-flavored ice cream.
