Cleveland is a great "American Town", rich in pride and culture. Visitors can enjoy many attractions and events on their tours in Cleveland. When looking for interesting ways to spend time in the Cleveland area, the list of possibilities is not short, but it is definitely sweet. These choices serve as constant reminders of the storied history of this two-centuries-old city on the banks of Lake Erie.
It is on those very banks that three of the newest and most popular sights reside. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Great Lakes Science Center and Cleveland Browns Stadium have transformed the lakefront completely. All three were built within the past decade and feature creative modern architecture.
Those looking to get acquainted with the culinary masterpieces are not short of choices. For those with sweet teeth, Malley's Chocolate Factory and London Candies, the latter in North Canton, offer tours, as does the Orlando Baking Company, if the preference is baked goods instead of candy. Happy hour is available in the form of wine-and-cheese tours in Cleveland, with the wine at the Winery at Wolf Creek in Copley and the cheese at the Middlefield Original Cheese Shop.

People who  want to envelop as many sights of this two-centuries-old city as is possible during one visit are offered numerous tours in Cleveland. Walking tours in Cleveland offer trips through downtown or the West Side and Ohio City. You will visit many of Cleveland's most popular sites on these treks.
Cleveland also boasts one of the country's top zoos. The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, which includes the Rainforest exhibit, is perfect for family visits. Culture events seekers will have no problem finding places to spend time. The Cleveland Play House and Playhouse Square offer guided tours. The Cleveland Museum of Natural History and Cleveland Institute of Art offer glimpses into the past. The James A. Garfield National Historic Site honors the 18th President, who was born in Cuyahoga County.

There are also plenty of places to take in some of the area's diverse cultures. The African American Heritage Tour and Cleveland Hungarian Heritage Museum offer excellent glimpses into the city's ethnic history. Sports fans might enjoy the Ohio Baseball History Museum, which in particular celebrates the feats of Latin American players and those from the old Negro Leagues.

There are plenty of hot spots for "techies," including the International Women's Air & Space Museum, Akron's Inventure Place and the NASA Glenn Visitor Center, named for Ohio Senator John Glenn, the first man to orbit the earth.
To tour Cleveland, you have to start with its roots, but don't forget to find out in advance about the best Cleveland resorts and accommodations. Nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Alpine Ranch is the perfect spot for a peaceful vacation. Built on rolling hills overlooking the foothills of the Appalachians Mountains, the resort truly offers something for everyone. On-site amenities include a miniature golf course, water slide, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and activities for all ages. The German alpine village of Helen is six miles away.
It has been a long time since Moses Cleaveland first set foot on the banks of Lake Erie, and Cleveland has come a long way. Judging by the advances and enhancements of the last decade or so, the city is flourishing and the future is as bright as ever.
