Timeshare ? your chance to own a villa for the vacationYou wish you had a villa of your own in some exotic country, or just a cottage in the mountains. But we can't always get what we want. The same way not everybody has enough money to buy and to maintain a villa the whole year round. And frankly speaking do you need a house far away from your native city all year round? You'll need your villa only a couple of weeks of your vacations, and to buy it you'll probably have to work without any vacations.
To solve this problem in Europe in the 60-s wise people invented timeshare. It gives you an opportunity to buy a villa of your own. Well probably not a villa but some smaller apartment, but you really own it. Although only for a couple of weeks a year. But still isn't it wonderful?
How can it be? The answer is in the name - your share time with other people. You are buying not exactly the property but time of your ownership. Lodging is totally yours for the certain week in a year. For all other 51 weeks it's owned by other 51 people. Well owners aren't always 52. There are different variants of timeshare. For example there may be 26 of you in case each of you owns the apartment for 2 weeks, or even 13 and you get the apartment in your disposal for almost a month in a year.
But all weeks in the year differ - you may say - some are perfect for spending vacations and some are cold or rainy depending on a region. Yes, it's all fair truth - probably sometimes it rains even in paradise. The climate influences the conditions of timeshare. Bad weeks are cheaper when the good ones in the heat of tourist season.
Timeshare system isn't a trick because it has proved itself enough, it gained popularity and has it's fans all other the world. Still it has enough critics. Some say it's all a fraud. The whole system isn't a fraud, although cheaters may use the idea of timeshare for deceiving people especially in the countries where the system of timeshare isn't established yet. Let's say it frankly - there's enough cheating in every sphere.
Other critics say that there's no fun in coming each year to the same place. Timeshare returns even that. You can not only share time - you can share place. It means that if you feel bored from spending you vacations at the same place you may exchange your week for a week in another apartment in another corner of the world. You can communicate with the owner of the timeshare property by your own means. Or you can turn to one of the exchange agencies which will help you to deal with that. Timeshare systems seems to be very logical from it's basics so it's also very logical that you won't be able to exchange a bad week you own on a good one. The same way you'll hardly exchange a week in common apartment on a week in a luxurious villa. Still there's enough opportunities for worldwide exchange for any of timeshare owners.
And one more thing about timeshare - it's not a rental, it's a property. So you can legally use it as a property. You may rent it out, may give it as a birthday present, may let you family and friends spend there vacations with you or instead of you. Even your grandchildren may once inherit it.
