Americans consider the United States to be the best country in the entire world. Their beautiful landscapes, a number of wonderful cities and unlimited freedom attract millions of tourists every year. The USA is friendly, hospitable and provides entertainment to any liking. But, as the saying goes, 'seeing is believing'. You may check it out anytime you want. All you need is go to the American embassy or consulate in your country and get entry visa.
Do you like freedom, adrenalin and new acquaintances? If so, the USA may pleasantly surprise you. It is a country of various tastes and tempers. The US citizens are very different, and that is the main reason of such entertainment diversity. You can walk along Broadway in New York with the most famous people in the world, or play in Las Vegas casinos with the richest and most powerful. In the West steep mountain slopes will delight the eye; in the South you may find beautiful beaches and a shoreless ocean. It seems that the USA has anticipated all potential needs and wishes.
Most people come to this country to see Buffalo where the famous Niagara waterfall is situated; Los Angeles with its annual 'Oscar' National Movie Award; New York homing a famous Statue of Liberty, the symbol of American freedom. Lots of prominent actors and musicians reside there, so you can't help but face celebrities when promenading. Las Vegas is a gaming capital of the globe. Even for Americans accustomed to wealth and splendour this city is the brightest and most unpredictable in the whole world.
Another symbol of America is its skyscrapers, which seem to touch the blue; their height and majesty astonish everybody and leave unforgettable impressions in every soul. The official language of the country is English. But there are other folks settling in the USA who came from other countries and speak their native languages. So, you will never be alone in this country traditionally called 'melting pot', this name owing to an immense folk merge.
Many people like traveling not only because of impressions, but also with the purpose of shopping. There is one thing you should know about American supermarkets: the prices there are shown with no tax included, so you will pay a little more than it is written on the goods, and the tax charge will depend on a separate state where you go shopping.
One of the best activities for Americans is sport. Notwithstanding a common view of the US locals being overweight, it takes a great part of their lives. So, it is not a surprise that the country itself is a perfect place for training and sports studies. If you are fond of sports pack your van and have a trip to America. It can offer you mountaineering in the West of the country, surfing in the South, skateboarding all over the country, and a lot of other possibilities to show your skills.
You should take into account that the USA is the best country in the world for Americans, just as France for the French or, say, Germany for the German. But, actually, it's not that far from being true, the USA to be one of the best places for business, rest and sports activities. Still, as it goes, 'one eyewitness is better than two hear-so's'. Before drawing to any conclusion you should better make it sure yourself.
To go to the USA you need a passport and a visa. For visa receiving you are to submit to the American embassy two filled in application forms, two photos and a valid passport. You should also pass an interview at the embassy or consulate -- essential, but not that hard. Before leaving your country you should also inform the American embassy about the place of your expected accommodation in the United States. It is important, because this information is usually sent to the Inward Security Department. Hereafter, you may visit the States anytime and admire their magnificent landscapes and places of interest.
Some time ago the US government decided to complicate the system of American entry visa delivering. First of all, this law concerns those who want to study in the USA. But now there are many programs of international student exchange which help students get permission to enter the country. Yet, these programs do not allow staying in the United States for more than a year.
As for custom rules and restrictions, national currency export and import are not limited, so you can take a sum of money you need to rest as comfortable as possible.
