The Asian Arts collection of the Museum of Metropolitan Art shows ancient and modern art typical for China, Japan, Korea, and South and Southeast Asia. The Costume institute offers thousands of folk and theatrical costumes and dress accessories for women and men from different countries and centuries. Graphic art of the Renaissance and after, encompassing prints in all techniques can be seen on the Drawings and Prints exhibitions.

 

Egyptian Arts collection presents daily implements, and architecture dating back to the prehistoric Egypt through the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms to the Roman period.
