The Most Prominent Disney Vacation Club Resorts

Disney Vacation Club is the name for the vacation ownership properties at the Walt Disney World Resort, owned and operated by the Disney Vacation Development, Inc. The first Disney Vacation Club Resort opened in 1991 under the name Disney's Old Key West Resort, followed by some other renowned samples. The only accommodations currently available for sale can be found in Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.
As of 2006, Disney Vacation Club Resorts include Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, Disney's Beach Club Villas, the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, all of which are located within Walt Disney World. In addition, there exist two off-property entities of the Disney Vacation Club Resort: Disney's Vero Beach Resort in Florida and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina.

In May 2005, Disney Vacation Club announced its plans to make its presence at the Disneyland Resort, California, recognized as one of the most exclusive and luxurious Walt Disney World Resorts. The same year, the Club was introduced to the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and the Disneyland Resort Paris. The only remaining Disney resort, unavailable to Disney Vacation Club members, is the Tokyo Disney Resort, owing to the fact that it is not owned by Disney.

Opened in December 1991, Disney's Old Key West Resort was established as Disney's Vacation Club Resort, changing its name a few years later. As compared to any other of seven Disney Vacation Club Resorts, Disney's Old Key West Resort has the most spacious accommodations, which makes it especially comfortable for long stays. The guest rooms feature a Key West theme, designed in pastel color schemes. Available in all rooms is a wide range of amenities, including two queen size beds, TV, kitchenette with mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave, and private porch or balcony. Visitors are free to choose from a One-Bedroom Vacation Home, Two-Bedroom Vacation Home, and/or Three-Bedroom Grand Villa.

As a member of Disney Vacation Club, you'll enjoy a comfortable stay, as well as the great benefits available here. One of the benefits, Extra Magic Hours, allows you to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks during additional park hours. Disney's Magical Express is a complimentary delivery service that takes you from Orlando International Airport to your resort. You may also use boats and buses, arriving at a resort to get you to the Walt Disney World theme parks, water parks, and other attractions.

While staying at one of Disney Vacation Club Resorts, you are close to all major attractions, entertainment venues, and a wide range of shopping and dining offerings.

To make your stay as pleasant as possible, Disney Cast Members provide you with the top Disney service that surpasses all your expectations. If you are looking for a wonderful place to rest your spirit and your mind, Disney's Old Key West Resort is an ideal destination for the entire family. You'll find here four heated pools, as well as the kid's pool and several spas.

Those looking for some action during their vacation are welcome to the Beach Recreation Department, featuring state-of-the-art equipment, a sauna, and rejuvenating massage. As an alternative, you can enjoy the simple pleasures of life in a lodge, with a book you can borrow, or play a great number of pinball and video games in the recreation area.

Children are offered four playgrounds, located in close proximity to the pools.
