Added: 02/25/2006

From the day of its opening in 1992 and up to now, the Park at MOA (former Camp Snoopy) is an unrivaled indoor amusement park in the United States. Set in beautiful surroundings with green foliage and even a river, flowing through the park, it offers a wide array of rides and attractions for all families, nine places to eat and an enormous number of shopping facilities.

Imagine that from the time the indoor amusement park at MOA opened in 1992 until its tenth birthday, seventy five million rides have taken place and the visitors have eaten fourteen million nine hundred and ninety one thousand three hundred and sixty funnel cakes, consumed almost twenty three million pounds of French fries, drank over one million gallons of Pepsi and refreshed with one hundred and twenty four thousand five hundred and thirty gallons of ice cream! To say more, the indoor amusement park at MOA is today's number one family destination in Minnesota, drawing visitors from all the United States and the world.

The rides and attractions in the indoor amusement park range from family rides and kids rides to more breathtaking races for thrill seekers. Kiddies attractions include the Balloon Race, which is a journey up to the sky in a multi-colored hot air balloon. The Frog Hopper is a fascinating attraction, which lifts kids twenty feet in the air and bounces them back down to the ground. The Camp Bus transports young passengers high into the air for a wild and terrific adventure. The Bloomington Express is a miniature steam train.

Thrill rides include the Pepsi Ripsaw Roller Coaster, which runs above the trees through the Log Mountain and around the entire park at the speed of over twenty five mph. The Treetop Tumbler is a ride that circles the adventurers up and down, forward and backward and lifts them to the sky. The Timberland Twister is the first-of-its-kind spinning coaster with high speed, hairpin turns and plummeting spirals. The Mighty Axe Spin is a ride, which twists, turns and flips upside down, as the passengers get over ten floors high. The Screaming Yellow Eagle raises high to the ceiling and dives low to the ground.

The family rides in the indoor amusement park provide a more moderate riding experience at lower speeds and heights. These comprise the Bumper Cars, Skyscraper Ferris Wheel, Americana Carousel, Ghost Blasters, Tree Swing, Paul Bunyan's Log Chute and Yogi's Big Rescue. The Paul Bunyan's Log Chute is a journey in a hollowed-out log through a mountain, filled with animated figures, which ends in a spine-tingling drop over a forty foot waterfall. The Americana Carousel is a nice hand-pained version of a classic merry-go-round with a gentle motion and medium speeds.

The indoor amusement park at MOA is a paradise for shoppers and eaters. Souvenir shops and boutiques sell the latest toys and brand clothes, collectibles and souvenirs. Joe Cool's Hot Shop offers a wide range of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other one-of-a-kind Joe Cool fashions. There is a studio of the Old Time Photography, providing tons of costumes and accessories to picture yourself in the Victorian Era or in the Wild West background.

Ice cream of all variants is served at the Kemps® Ice Cream Cafe, which is an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. Hamburgers with all sorts of fillings and sizes, pizzas, steaks, salads and cocktails are offered at the Stadium Club Sports Bar & Grill Stampede Steakhouse, Pizza Hut® and Burger Zone Express.

The admission to the indoor amusement park at MOA is free; you are only to buy tickets for particular attractions. The purchase of an Unlimited Ride Wristband allows to enjoy the rides all day long, while a Point Pass gives an access to few rides.
