Due to the acquisition of Twining UK by Associated British Foods in 1964, the company has expanded further, establishing itself as a favorite British brand. A new factory was designed and built in Hampshire to cater for the expanding market. Twinings renowned flavored black teas were launched in 1976 to meet increased demand in flavored teas in mainland Europe and Scandinavia. Following demand for decaffeinated teas, the company launched these in the 1980s. In 1981 Twinings UK penetrated into the adult soft drink market by introduced its iced teas. After monitoring the organic tea market, the company launched its first organic product in 1999. Four years later the brand introduced Voyage dessert teas in the United Kingdom, developing a wide range of unusual blends through a curious combination of native teas and local flavors of world's exotic regions. In 2005, Twinings UK designed its first generic non-specialty teas under the Everyday Tea brand.

All Twinnings teas go through fifteen core steps to ensure top quality: recipe development, selection, grading, buying, pre-shipment sample, shipping, three quality checks at different stages, blend recipe, hand-bland, control blend and approval. The company's expert blenders use tea samples from more than 70 different tea gardens in order to design the right flavor for a particular blend.
