The finest nights in Hoxton at 333 London nightclub

Added: 12/27/2005

Located in a prime location on Old Street, 333 Club nightclub and bar is one of London's hottest nightspots. Billed as "The original Hoxton club, and still the best," the club is a home for young, trendy crowd playing a diverse range of music and a party people's favorite venue throughout the week. And for a good reason...

Lop sided sounds spill from club 333, London, as the Off-Centre crew return for more skewed sounds. On Saturday nights hip-hop pumps from the space-shuttle white interior of an art gallery while the city suits queue alongside students for entry to 333.
333 London nightclub is London trendiest Hoxton nightlife venue. It's an austere, yet eternally popular Old Street club - with its refreshing mixture of clientele and refreshingly musty, olde-worlde interior. On regular nights the Hoxton crowd can expect an eclectic array of music styles in a friendly and safe club spread over three floors - industrial look basement, fairly bland middle level main room that seems to be all doors but frequently has the 'best' music to move you feet to, funky chandeliered loft with sofas and a grubby window on the outside world. These three floors offer lots of opportunity for dancing hard all night long as the DJs are spinning earth shattering breaks guaranteed to keep the party vibe alive and get you moving.
333 London nightclub is not an exclusive club, but it's certainly oriented towards trend and style. Decor wise 333 is sparse to say the least, with little thought having being put into the design and aesthetic - but that's the way they like it here. The club invested in a selection of professional DJ mixers and turntables as well as the sound systems in order to provide promoters and DJ's with the tools of their choice. And the investment turned out to be truly worthwhile.  The club's schizophrenic music policy is so cool as to border on untenable 80s cheese, surprising those with their breaks 'n' beats feet on. 333 London nightclub keeps upgrading the sound system on the main dancefloor. The club has plenty of rooms for musical diversity, as well as running a members' bar and inviting new DJ's to play guest sets. They also offer regular nights including Off Centre, Renegade Pop Party, Revolver, 6 ft Stereo and 'The Dance Floor Democracy'. For instance, long running night Off Centre concentrates on jazz, hip-hop and soul, while Perverted Science dishes up a cutting-edge mix of house, funk and disco, and Renegade Pop Party satisfies your cheesy side with 80s classics. DJs host the basement for mid-tempo syncopated madness and party Funk for the party crowd along with the eclectic tunes (drum 'n' bass, house, Latin and afrobeat and hip-hop, often combined in a single set) for a sartorially ostentatious, yet down-to-earth, bottled beer-supping crowd.
At its best the 333 London nightclub is an eclectic house-party; at its worst, it's an ageing club that's looking a bit tatty round the edges. No East End venue has inspired more silly fashions, general japery and musical mayhem than this Shoreditch stalwart. The club keeps drawing the crowd back, so there must be something about it. No-attitude security help, as do consistently good tunes. Anyone with a pulse and a love of live music should check this one out. Dancing is a requisite... boil it up, break it up, get ready for some funky laid-back groove.
