The Finest Gem Jewelry Shows

Launched in 1968 by Herbert A Duke, the first gem jewelry show aimed at selling creations of jewelry and gems directly to the public. Today, 30 major cities in the United States boast nearly 80 shows, and are visited by an estimated 1.5 million people annually. Admission to the shows is usually $7 for adults, and are free for children aged 5-16, with an adult ticket.

Maintaining the reputation of the distinguished, internationally recognized show, the Original Classic International Gem Jewelry Show, Inc., claims to produce the largest collection of gems, jewelry, and minerals in the world. In addition it publishes the "Gems & Jewelry Keystone Marketing Catalogue," one of the most prominent trade magazines that has a circulation of 87, 000.

The International Gem Jewelry Show offers unusual jewelry creations and accessories, unique celebrity exhibits, estate jewelry, and a great number of dealers in all possible gemstones. Currently there exists nearly 100 shows, providing the visitors with the opportunity to meet customers and make sales. The show features two sections, one of them being open to the trade, and another to the public. The advertising budget of the show is constantly increased and spent on the media programming with the aim of drawing more customers.

In 2006, the Original Classic International Gem Jewelry Show marks its 40th anniversary. Following the demand for fine jewelry, rooted in the lifestyle and traditions of the Middle East, a multi-billion dollar US market continues to expand, with Lebanon constituting the heart of this market and boasting the most creative and skilled jewelers in the world. Joaillerie Liban is the premiere Gem Jewelry Show of its kind, scheduled for August 2006.
