The cheesecake factory makes your life tastyMany people dream about making their own business. Some try to make their dream true. But very few have achieved in their lifetimes such a successful business like the Overtons accomplished during theirs. Oscar and Evelin Overton managed to realise their slue dream, though it took a lot of time and effort, courage and determination.
The story began in 1940s. That time Evelin created her original Cheesecake recipe. She always was known as an excellent cook, so everyone everyone loved this Cheesecake. First, she opened a small cheesecake shop in Detroit. Evelin had two children, David and Renee. Evelin had to raise them, that's why she chose to put off her dream and gave up the shop. But she didn't stop baking her cheesecakes. She just moved her cookery to a kitchen in her basement. Cakes were supplied to several of the best local restaurants. Children grow fast. And in 1971 Evelyn and Oscar desided that the moment came when they have a chance to develop their own business. They were in the their early 50's when they moved their cheesecake business to Los Angeles. They used the last of their savings in order to open a 700 square foot store, "The Cheesecake Factory", which now has its banches in many cities. Those early years it were only one store. At the beginning there occured many difficulties. Evelyn and Oscar often worked 18-hour days. Evelyn dealed with baking and managing the office while Oscar concentrated his attention on selling the cakes and building new accounts.
Soon they realised that Los Angeles loved their cheesecakes as much as Detroit. Their reputation and sales grew, creating a need for a larger bakery. When they found it out the necessity of expanding their business became obvious. In 1975 the beginning of the most creative and productive period of their business took place. New and improved bakery allowed Evelyn to create over 20 varieties of her delicious cheesecakes and other fantastic desserts. Oscar purchased cheesecake delivery trucks, hired drivers, expanded their cheesecake distribution from Santa Barbara to San Diego and developed additional out-of-state customers. The Cheesecake Factory meet its future success thanks to the tireless efforts, commitment to quality and innovative product development of its foundators. In 1978, their son David founded The Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills, which made Evelyn's cheesecakes even more famous.

The Cheesecake Factory inherited a tradition of excellence from its founders. Oscar and Evelyn Overton, the first owners, shaped the culture and continue to define the character of this Company today. The Cheesecake Factory Oscar and Evelyn Overton Charitable Foundation was established with these values in mind on September 11, 2001.
The Foundation is growing and building relationships with other national charitable organizations, such as City of Hope and Salvation Army, in order to further assist programs in local communities. They are dedicated to continuing the humanitarian spirit of their Founders, Oscar and Evelyn Overton, by living the values they instilled in our Company every day.

Now not only Th Cheesecake Factory provides stores with cheesecakes. There existed some other organisations, which serve cheesecakes and offer cheesecake delivery to its clients.
