Whatever the visitors may need, the Boarding House has something to offer to everyone. Here you?ll find quiet double rooms for couples and large areas for corporate events, and the hotel's staff will provide you with the information on all the restaurants, bars, clubs and areas of interest. Those, who want some action from the holiday, should take advantage of the Quicksilver and Roxy, the only surf school in Europe. Also available are wetsuits and boards from the local surf store.
After an event-packed day you?ll enjoy a drink in the bar and take in the beauty of the sunset from the terrace overlooking Fistral Bay. The restaurant runs throughout the day, providing everything from healthy bites to fresh ground coffee. The Sunset Bar is available from 11 am to 11 pm for the total public, the guests of the Boarding House, however can continue their party here in to the night. The alluring golden sands of Fistral Beach and the challenging 18-hole golf course are just some of many reasons to enjoy your vacation at the hotel.
All the areas feature Indonesian wooden furniture and comfortable sofas for relaxation. Due to favorable location of the Boarding House, there is no need for cars. Within a five minute walk you?ll get into the town with the lively atmosphere of its nightclubs and bars. The hotel caters for all the accommodation needs, from dorm rooms to single beds. All rooms are light, cozy and conveniently situated, offering spectacular views from Trevose Head to Fistral Beach and Boarding House Park. For larger parties multiple sets of keys are available.
It is possible to book the room via the Internet or phone. All rooms are booked according to the number of beds in them, for example ?single? double? or ?matrimonial?. Thus, you will be required to cover the cost in case there are some space beds in your room. People under 18 are not accepted during the period of mid-June through the end August. The hotel adheres to the nonsmoking policy with the exception of the bar area and outside on the terrace.
During high season the Boarding House takes a room bond of $25 per person, which is returned at the end of the stay after the staff checks rooms and finds them acceptable. A visitor may be denied a service or ejected from the hotel because of improper behavior or actions towards hotel property or staff.
Over the years the Boarding House has been maintaining a reputation as a popular surfer's destination due to its Quicksilver and Roxy Surf School, run by the European champion G. Roberts. Whether you only dream to step on a board, or have already achieved some success in wave riding, the school has lessons for all abilities. You?ll be offered a relaxed and friendly environment to learn in.
Two sessions are generally run a day, depending on waves and tides. Available here are surf lessons for ladies only, large group bookings and diverse accommodation deals. Equipment is supplied on the day, including board, wetsuit and leash. All you need to bring is a swimsuit and towel, and the Quicksilver and Roxy Surf School will provide you with everything else, ensuring plenty of joy and fun during your vacation.
