The ADM is the Association for Managers in such private and public sector services as cleaning, domestic and hotel management. The organization is based in the United States, but has its branches in the UK as to make its services available for broader audiences.

The ADM members enjoy participating in the variability of programs and receiving the support to enhance their skills and knowledge in professional cleaning management, laundry and linen, portering, transport, telecommunication as well as have a closer look at all innovations and new supplies, available from top brand manufacturers.

The ADM mission is stated as follows, "to provide excellence in professional cleaning management and allied services, ensuring that standards provided achieve the highest possible levels in Public and Private Sector Industries"

The services of the ADM include lectures, regular meetings and social events, seminars and day conferences, guidance booklets, regional exhibitions, the ADM Annual Conference and Exhibition as well as the quarterly Journal "Excel" and monthly "Bulletin" to keep all members informed of all events and practices.

In fact, cleaning management is an integral part of each business, as it is closely related to healthcare and health security aspects. Hence, each organization or business can considerably profit from the ADM membership, since the association is a direct access to pioneer technologies and designs. The quarterly Journal of the ADM includes articles, written by members, sponsors and other important figures in the industry of cleaning management.

The members keep in touch with researches and new projects in the cleaning industry, comprising such projects as the PEAT Plus presentation, launched by Philip Holmes, from Chelsea, and the Westminster Healthcare NHS Trust that aims at significant improvements, recently achieved in hospital cleanliness and tidiness. The ADM members are currently working closely with the National Patient Safety Agency and the Chief Nurse's Office to develop a work program for the NHS cleaning in 2006 and beyond.

The ADM holds Annual National Conference, where health professionals, scientists, leading managers, managements consultants and other experts share their ideas on cleaning management, health, healthy food, available training programs, evaluating new technologies, such as microfibre, and, totally, on all aspects of facilities management. The Annual National Exhibition is a kind of continuation to the conference and offers visitors an opportunity to explore all innovations in the world of supply and manufacture in the cleaning industry.

The ADM members run an internet based Help team, where questions on cleaning and domestic management are posted and answers collated. The questions are numerous and cover the diversity of topics, including the best washing machines and disposal of uniforms, reliable dishwashers and wall and ceiling cleaning specifications of vacuum cleaners and cleaning satisfaction surveys.
