The Thai Hotels Association (THA) was founded on February 6, 1963. Formerly, the association was known as the "Thai Hotels Association for Tourists". It was renamed the Thai Hotels Association in 1968. The THA consists of leading hotels, representing every part of Thailand. All Association Ordinary Members have been approved by the Ministry of Interior.
One of the renowned members of the Thai Hotels Association is the Imperial Hotels group, a leading Asian hotel company, with hotels in Bangkok, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong, and other major Thailand cities. The Imperial Hotels group is renowned for the exceptional quality of services and advanced facilities, including award winning restaurants, luxurious rooms and suites, a unique design of interior and exterior, swimming pools, tennis courts, and wonderful spa treatments at cost-effective prices.
The Imperial Samui Hotel, one of the Imperial Hotels' members, is a unique blend of the Mediterranean-style resort and traditional Thai excellence of service and hospitality. The hotel has a wonderful setting in a landscaped garden on a hillside, over-looking the beautiful Chaweng Noi beach and surrounded by tall coconut trees and unusual rock formations.
The hotel offers wonderful opportunities for sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, tennis and table tennis, badminton and volleyball. There is a scuba diving school, where you can learn all secrets of scuba diving, and afternoon classes of Thai cooking.
Spa treatments are limitless. The hotel has seven private treatment rooms, five privet and two spa suites, equipped with a steam bath and Jacuzzi. Full body and beauty treatments, body wraps and rubs, stress-relief treatments, a Traditional Thai massage, a Swedish massage and aromatherapy are available to rejuvenate the body, mind and soul. Rates start from one hundred and ten dollars.
The Thai Hotels Association represents leading resorts of the country, comprising the Krabi La Playa Resort, Andaman Holiday Resort, Amari Palm Reef Resort, Bandara Resort & Spa, and a lot more resort accommodation facilities, wonderful for a natural retreat and recreation.
The Krabi La Playa Resort, located between two wonderful beaches, Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara, is a secluded paradise that is surrounded by two acres of an originally designed garden. Its specialties are a unique swimming pool with several individual whirlpools and a traditional Thai massage.
The Andaman Holiday Resort is set in tropical gardens of the idyllic Klong Muang Beach, directly in the sea. The resort is themed as a "natural retreat", but it features all modern amenities, containing restaurants, bars, a souvenir shop, a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Two types of accommodation are available: beautiful cottages and a hotel.
The Thai Hotels Association has two subsidiaries: the Thai Hotels Association (Northern Chapter) and the Thai Hotels Association (Southern Chapter) that represent, support and promote northern and southern regions of Thailand, particularly Chiang Mai and Phuket. Both have their websites, where the information and reservation of Thai hotels is available
