Ther' is a school affiliated with Ankara University. Its goal is to introduce Turkish language and culture to foreign students. It is the main school with 13 other branches across Turkey, which include: Tunaly Hilmi, Konya, Kayseri, Bursa ,Yzmir, Antalya ,Yskenderun, Gaziantep , Trabzon, and Samsun. The school is capable of accommodating 2500 students.
The Ankara school is housed in a modern 8 story building with excellent facilities which include 44 Classrooms (in 2 branches, not all used for Turkish classes) a library, an outdoor terrace, a cafeteria, a conversation club, Video/TV room, student social area and computer room.
All classrooms are equipped with the latest language teaching tools, aids and all teaching staff at the school are members of Ankara University. In the conversation club, students can practice their language skills with native speakers. The school also teaches other languages to Local Turkish students, this gives you the opportunity to make friends with local students. Most students are from Europe, Asia and the Middle East and aged between 19 and 40.
The programs cater for all language levels from absolute beginners to the more advanced. Here you can study Turkish, enhancing speaking, listening, grammar and general comprehension skills. They will also use interactive techniques such as role-play, games and perhaps videos to support lesson content. Current political, social and cultural materials are integrated to add interest and increase knowledge of the host country and culture.
Students who study Turkish in Ankara and complete Basic and Intermediate levels are entitled to receive a school certificate certified by Ankara University.
