Stanford School of Business ?Leaders` Motherland

Added: 11/19/2005

Management, speaking roughly, means to govern physical, capital and people resources. It is closely connected with leadership, because only a leader can involve everyone into the business-making process, unite all the factors to achieve the goal. Those who say, that it is a matter of psychological features of a man are partially right. But only partially- in fact each of us has potential leader features, and the way of discovering them is of great need. The Stanford GSB is a place where leaders learn frameworks for organizing the complexities of management problems, thus preparing them to make a significant impact in the world.

The Stanford school of Business offers a General Management education and considered the second best business school of the world.  Though the choice of programs is comparatively small- only full-time  MBA programs and a Ph.D- the education it gives of the highest rank. Stanford school of Business, located on the territory of the Stanford University, does not offer a distance learning MBA or a part-time Executive MBA.
As for Stanford  MBA Program, it  is a two-year full-time, residential day one.  It takes six academic quarters which are approximately two years of full-time study and the satisfactory completion of 100 quarter units. The first year in the  Stanford school of Business consists of core course requirements and the second year. The Stanford MBA program is made up entirely of academic electives and students rather may choose among a wide variety of business courses to meet all the requirements of the Stanford school of Business programs.
In the core courses teaching methods vary by the course chosen -and by topic within each course-to provide the most effective learning environment. Faculties of the Stanford school of Business play a very great role in the studying process. They themselves decide whether to use lectures, discussions, case studies, computer simulations, group projects, presentations by business leaders, or combinations of methods to deliver the educational experience. But  no matter what of the faculties you` ve chosen, Stanford school of Business provides unparalleled breadth and depth in its studies.
What is more important, that Stanford school of business students learn about leadership through many different ways: discussions of case studies , where they assess the behaviors of organizational leaders; by listening to executives speak about their successes and failures; through the practical experience of initiating and coordinating events and activities at Stanford School of  Business. The combination of  theory and practice gives chance to develop specific skills and frameworks on the most important psychological rules of communicating with people.  Because Management, speaking roughly, is closely connected with leadership, because only a leader can involve everyone into the business-making process, unite all the factors to achieve the target.
Every student graduates with a general management degree, but some of them decide to pursue a certificate. For example, the Global Management Program or the Public Management Program certificates of the Stanford school of Business may be pursued joint with other programs. Moreover, Stanford school of business students can take 16 units from other departments that count toward their MBA demands.
So, graduating after Stanford school of Business,  be sure to have knowledge not only in management and finance, but on how to build teams, how to work with others, and how to lead people towards a goal!
