Spain Travel - Once is never Enough!Once away from the headache of holiday costs, you'll find yourself in the midst of Spain for unparalleled travel. In the cities, narrow twisting old streets suddenly open out to views of daring modern architecture, while spit-and-sawdust bars serving wine from the barrel rub shoulders with blaring, glaring discos.
Travel is easy, accommodations are plentiful, the climate benign, the people relaxed and the beaches long and sandy! The food and drink easy to come by and full of regional variety and appeal. More than 50 million foreigners a year go enjoy Spain travel and it's hardly by accident. In Spain, you can also travel for days and hear nothing but Spanish.
Spain can be enjoyable any time of year. The ideal months to visit are May, June and September (plus April and October in the south). During these periods you can be practically guaranteed good-to-excellent weather and a fantastic cross-section of cultures as visitors from all over the world descend on the country to enjoy Spain travel.
In true Spanish style, cultural events are almost inevitably celebrated with a wild party and a holiday. Among the festivals to look out for are La Tamborrada (Festividad de San Sebastián) in San Sebastian on January 19th, a carnival-like rowdy event where the whole town dresses up and goes crazy with the fervor of a street party. When on Spain travel you can see Carnaval, which takes place throughout the country in late February; the most famous locations known to be in Sitges and Cadiz. But during Carnival, any town you happen to be in will prove itself as "the place to be". In March, Valencia has a week-long party known as Las Fallas, which is marked by all-night dancing, drinking, first-class fireworks and colourful processions.
Most people go on Spain travel to sizzle in the warm sun's caress while lying on the beach. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. Spain is world famous for its spectacular beaches. The three most favourite of which just may be the Costa de Almerha, Costa Tropical and Costa del Sol. All are popular with tourists looking for great beaches, leisure and entertainment facilities, shops and of course the sun and sea. Marbella is the undisputed holiday capital of the Malaga Coast and is an upscale market resort attracting world famous and not-so-famous personalities to its shores. The Canary Islands have an exceptional year-round climate with superb beaches where you can enjoy the sun, sea and beaches at any time of the year. Spain is positioned between Europe and Africa and as such boasts a range of contrasting natural attractions. The stretching, golden coastline is, of course popular with tourists, but there are many other natural beauties in Spain if visitors feel the need to escape from the crowds.
If you are going on Spain don't forget to visit Madrid! Madrid, in case you didn't know, is the capital city of Spain. Nestled among the country's central plain, Madrid acts like the conduit for all of Spain and pumps the life-blood throughout the rest of the country. Whatever the sector -- media, banking, engineering and law -- Madrid rears its influence far and wide.
And yet even as Madrid tourism has opened it arms to the new millennium, it's not a city that has turned its back on the past. Madrid may not have the antique opulence or splendor of other cities in the European Union, but on closer inspection the city has as dynamic a past as any other.
But Spain travel; its architecture and museums take a back seat to Madrid's people. Men and women as quick to smile as lend a hand to a stranger make this city a sought-after location to visitors.
