We cannot do without food- quite an obvious fact, and going to a have a weekend in a certain hotel we pay attention not to the lodgings only but too the food services it provides as well.Any midweek or a whole weekend stay in a hotel naturally includes dinners, though the meals and their number varies great with the rate of the hotel itself. Well of course, the great variety of lodgings like hotels, inns, condominiums, campsites, etc require differences in the way of catering- some offer all the cooking done by the servants and others imply your self-catering. These self-catering hotels are always surrounded by dozens of restaurants, cafes and whatnot in order not to make you starving and have your dinners there. Besides, comparing with the first ones, they provide wider choice of meals, cuisines, and prices. But the mixed type with some dinners (or at least one) included is the commonest hotel type nowadays.
But be aware of the fact, that around North America in general, dinners usually are what we call suppers- large evening meals. However, in parts of Canada and the United States, dinners with the evening meal in turn remember suppers. Depending on the place of the hotel location there may some diffenences in the dinners time. But in any part of the world, hotel dinners must consist of appetizers, starters ,soup, fish or meat course and desserts. Generally they are followed by tea or coffee, sometimes served with mint chocolates or other sweets, or with brandy or a digestif. When dinners consist of many courses, these tend to be smaller and to be served over a longer time period than a dinner with only two or three courses. Dinners with many courses tend to occur at formal events such as dinner parties or banquets. This formal version of the meal is generally served in the evening, starting some time between 7.30 and 8.30 (in the Netherlands typically at 6.00). It may be served at midday or shortly afterwards
For example, ski resorts, like Okemo, Mount Snow, Sugarbush and many others include slopes dinners in their list of their special events, as well as wedding and birthday dinners, formal and group ones. And these dinners are really special! In addition to the fresh air and natural beauty of the surrounding mountains, your will appreciate your special events while enjoying a18-hole Robert Trent Jones Sr. mountain golf course ( in Okemo ski resor), indoor and outdoor tennis facilities, a health & racquet club, alpine skiing, and countless miles of hiking and biking. From casual poolside refreshments to candlelit dining and dancing, you will find a variety of sumptuous cuisine to satisfy every mood and occasion. Fashionable bars, award-winning restaurants will be at your service. And it must not necessarily be open -air dinner ( though what can be better?) but restaurants with wide picture windows will also do. Whether it is a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, or post-reception brunch, our goal is to exceed your expectations with exceptional culinary delights and personalized service. Here of course the choice is yours, dinners at the catering spots offering both indoor seating and outside service windows facing the slopes are of great target in any season.
