All foreign nationals wishing to visit Russia need to have a visa. It makes 1 to 21 days to make a visa, depending on how much you pay. When you have an invitation, you need to submit it to the Russian consulate and apply for a visa.

It is more easier to organize your trip with travel agencies as they help with everything, starting from visa to hotel. Note that the receiving organization must be duly registered as a tourist company in the russian ministry of foreign affairs, Moscow and be assigned a special index.


When you have an invitation, you need to submit it to the Russian consulate and apply for a visa. It's better to check beforehand with the Russian consulate that you will apply to if they accept copies of invitations or only originals.


All foreign nationals wishing to visit Russia need to have a visa in order to enter the Russian Federation. There are different types of visa depending on the purpose of your visit. It is not possible to obtain a visa at the airport or boarder, when entering Russia. Visas are issued by Russian Consulate upon presenting the invitation and paying the consular fee. Official invitations or so-called visa-support letters are required for all types of visas. It is the first thing you need to get before applying for Russian visa.


To apply for a Russian visa, you need to bring the following: your invitation (a fax, in most of the consulates), your signed passport and the photocopy of the vital pages of the passport and remember that the passport should be valid for at least 3 month after the visa expires, three photographs, a filled out visa application form, which you can pick it up in the consulate, a visa application fee.
You can stay in Russia for the period of time stated on your visa. If you want to stay in Russia longer you must leave Russia and apply for the visa again.
After you submit all the documents and papers needed it should take the consulate from 1 to 21 days to make a visa, depending on how much you pay. The total visa expenses include: payment for an invitation (it is included in our travel package free of charge), visa application fee (paid to a Russian consulate), visa registration fee.
