The weakest point of such places is again food - it's usually of the banquet quality, so you'll be disappointed if you expect gourmet dishes.
Active type of a romantic weekend? Easily! You can spend it at a resort where you'll be provided with almost al the types of outdoor activities. A wide range of renting opportunities, skiing equipment, windsurfers and whatever you like. It only depends on your personal preferences. You will for sure have several restaurants to choose from and enjoy first-class room service. If you don't care much about the cost, it can turn out to be a good solution!
And finally, hotels. They will supply you with full service and it's one of the best places to find privacy (just put the "do not disturb" sign). Good hotels even offer romantic weekend getaway packages.
