While in Pennsylvania, it will be also exciting to take a trip to Amish country, a part of the state, somehow "stuck in history". Amish country, located in Lancaster County, is home to people, whose life moves more slowly if compared to our high-tech society, and who preserve old traditions, religion and customs, stressing such points as humanity, a family and a community, and a separation from the world. Amish people develop, but if they do not like a modern idea, they would certainly reject it. For instance, Amish girls and women wear modest dresses, made from the solid-colored fabric, with long sleeves and a full skirt. Amish dresses are not shorter than half-way between knee and floor and, certainly, mini is never acceptable. Amish women will never wear jewelry. Undoubtedly, Amish children go to school and even know English, but all the rest is entirely different from our common society vision. You will find it interesting to learn about this partly "primeval" Pennsylvania, as well as about Amish traditions and customs that they carefully preserve and respect.
Visiting the Pocono Mountains, you will face a lot of amenities and facilities to see and to take part in according to your tastes, preferences, wishes and even dreams. A piece of history will give you a feeling of exploring something unique and kept for you to know.
