The Caribbean Free Trade Association, known today as the Caribbean Trade Organization was founded on December 15, 1965 by Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda to pursue a number of tasks. In 1968 the Association was joined by Grenada, Dominica, St Vincent, Saint Lucia, Jamaica and Montserrat, while its last member, Belize joined CARIFTA in 1971. Read more »
