A security is a ground for the development and in many cases an economic underperformance is linked to political problems and conflicts. Thus, all European countries today concentrate on promoting the European security as a premier factor for developing wealthy and healthy nations. The major international bodies that enhance the process of building stable European security strategies are the European Union, NATO and UN.

The Common Foreign & Security Policy (CFSP) was developed in response to global and regional conflicts, insecurity, crises and challenges that Europe faces today. It was established as the second of three pillars of the European Union in 1993 as to define, implement and cover all areas of foreign and security policy. The activities of the CFSP cover such significant areas as Civilian Crisis Management, Non-proliferation and Disarmament, and Conflict Prevention.
