Now you finally have a reason to visit 50th street in New York City midtown on a Saturday night. The famous nightclub chain Nikki Beach with the original location in Miami opened its first New York branch in Midtown. Nikki Beach already has several venues around the world in such cities, as Miami, St. Tropez, Puerto Vallarta, St. Bart's, Cabo San Lucas, and Atlantic City.
Nikki Midtown Nightclub, the latest kid in the Nikki Beach Empire, brings Miami island resort nightlife style to the most boring spot in the New York City.
Nikki Midtown Nightclub - a whitewashed tropical paradise - is a 6,000-square-foot bilevel venue featuring white linens, numerous throw pillows, and bed seats. The club is situated on the same spot as the old "Vue," and, like Vue, the second-floor VIP room gazes down upon the dance floor with a massive glass wall. The second level includes a private lounge that overlooks the main lounge, a separate sound system, and elevated lounge seats. The club can accommodate all in all up to 350 guests.
New York's version of this chic international club seems to be something between heaven and a harem. In the spacious main room you will flourish in countless pure white pillows, hanging feathery white angel wings, bamboo posts, and almost-Polynesian carved pale wood tables dashed with white linens. Also you will wonder at vivid orchid centerpieces, a slowly-rotating opalescent spotlight and, most noticeably, the mod servers in white go-go boots and turquoise mini dresses with naughty circle cutouts in front, making bra-wear impossible.
Nikki Midtown Nightclub is more upscale lounge than just a club. It is overflowed with pillows, beds, a cheery pastel color scheme, yummy eye candy, and even more pillows. The music is primarily house and electronic, although management is steering away from big, mainstream names in favor of emerging, underground producers from Europe. No hip-hop. So as to look good in the place, replicate the tycoon/heiress fresh-off-the-yacht look, as there are other Nikki's in St. Tropez, South Beach, Sardinia and Marrakech.
If you come to the Nikki Midtown Nightclub, you should necessarily try the specialty of the house - the sugar-rimmed, cherry-topped Nikki's Delight. This cocktail with vanilla vodka, blue Curacao, peach liqueur and Puckers may sound like too sweet alcoholic ambrosia, but the tropical-candy flavor is enjoyable.
The midtown location of the club could be a deathblow, but Nikki definitely does the little things right. Take the uniforms for the model-hot waitresses: tight, bright blue dresses that show lots of skin, and not where you'd expect it. Besides, the Nikki brand name has a long, long history.
And if it is about 4 in the morning and you feel a bit tired of the crazy and sleepless nightlife ... step just few blocks away of the Nikki Club and you are in The Kimberly - a quiet New York City boutique suite hotel. It is a European style elegant hotel, offering gracious hospitality and service. The Kimberly is an all-inclusive haven, ideal for even the most discerning traveler, whether business or leisure travel. The hotel also offers many dining, shopping and entertainment venues.
