New York City weekend: don't miss the opportunityWashington, Los Angeles, Dallas, Detroit... The United States of America has a lot of cities, which are really worth seeing. Still, New York is, perhaps, in the top three. And it is no wonder: the city is so great and fabulous that hardly are there people in the world to refuse a chance to visit it. New York is really enormous: buildings, shows, events - everything seems to be at the highest level there.
This North American city is so large that it is absolutely impossible to see it all even through a couple of weeks. So, if you have only two or three days you can make your New York City weekend very interesting experiencing no dull moment.
The main attraction of the city is, of course, the Statue of Liberty - a gift from France, which is now a world-famous symbol of New York. If you come to the place by ship it welcomes you at the entrance to the harbour. It is an unforgettable sight: a vast figure of a woman with the inflamed torch slowly emerging from the morning mist or evening twilight. The unrestrained feeling of excitement and admiration fills your heart from the first look at the Statue and never leaves you until your departure.
Most places where you can spend your New York City weekend were glorified in a number of movies. Perhaps, you have never seen them, but hear their names so often that it seems you go there every week. Hardly is there a man in Europe, who doesn't know the Central Park or the Empire State Building, which are also the great sights of the city. And do not forget about skyscrapers, which is, actually, hard enough, as high-rise buildings are seen from any site of the city. A lot of cities in the world can be proud of such structures today, but those in New York were the first buildings of the kind and are still the most famous.
The Central Park of New York City is a real oasis of nature in the stone jungles. It is very beautiful and gives you an opportunity to have a very romantic New York City weekend with your beloved while horseback riding or boating. The park is fascinating all the year round and can offer you a lot of entertainment facilities for each season, from picnics to ice-skating.
Millions of people annually visit New York during their rest period, most taking home the wish to return here again. So, whatever part of this splendid city you choose for your vacations, you will have a pleasure. And each New York City weekend of yours will much differ one from another. This place will always stay in your heart like an eternal mystery, which attracts attention again and again. Monumental skyscrapers, exciting nightlife, admiring culture and perfect cuisine -this is all New York. And this all may become your experience!
