You can see most of the city's historical sites on foot. In Parliament Square and nearby areas downtown you will find lots of picture-perfect 18th- and 19th-century buildings, from pink neoclassical government edifices to pastel-colored houses with inviting balconies, a marble statue of Queen Victoria and Fort Charlotte.

Nassau and the Paradise Island, linked to it, offer more options for nightlife than there are hours in the day to experience them all. The Atlantis Paradise Island resort has a mega-casino with more than one thousand slot machines and more than eighty gaming tables, including roulette, poker and blackjack. The resort's Entertainment Complex incorporates nightclubs, restaurants, shopping not to mention the sports facilities. Among other entertainment spots is the Palace Theatre. It seats over eight hundred, and the stage is the setting for the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas style revues and shows. The Zoo Club and Cafe is the largest and probably the wildest nightclub on the island, a place to drink and dance throughout the night.
