Nanchang China is the capital of Jiangxi province and has a population of about two and half million people. The first settlement of this area has to be proven to be around 5000 years ago. It became the town of Nanchang, the flourishing town of the South in the second century BC. As the capital of the Jiangxi Province, Nanchang is the century of the provincial economy, politics, science, cultural, technology, and education. It has a long history that is known as the heroic city because of the August first Nanchang Uprising. Nanchang governs five districts: East Lake, West Lake, Qingyunpu, Wanli, Jiaoqu, and four countries: Nanchang, Xinjian, Jinxian, and Anyi with a total area of over 7,400 square kilometers.
Since ancient times, Nanchang China had enjoyed this advantageous position. Now it is the only capital city that is located along the Yangtze River Delta, the Zhujiang River Delta, and the Southwest Fujian Delta. It is the land that links East China and West China and the connecting South China and North China. The Beijing-Kowloon Railway and the Zhe Gan Railway meet in Nanchang and the three national expressways go through the city, and the Gan River That runs through the Poyang Lake into the sea and the North Nanchang International Airport have formed the three dimensional communication networks and have upgraded Nanchang's position as a hub of communication.
Around the city are green mountains and in the city there are many lakes. The air and water here are the best quality air and water. The Gan River and the Fu River run through the city and the Jing River, the Xin River, and Rao River go around it. In the urban area, there are four lakes and in the outskirts of the city there are eight lakes. This forms the unique scenery and attracts many visitors both Chinese and foreign. Nanchang China is a promised land and the land of rice and fish. The migratory birds, lakes, and forests of the city together with the layout of one river and its two shores have created many beautiful views of Nanchang.
There are many beautiful scenic spots, green belts, ecological areas, and amusement parks in Nanchang for people in all locations. With a subtropical, humid, and a moderate climate, the city has plenty of rain and four different seasons. Nanchang China is refereed to in the guidebooks as gray and drab as regards the weather; Nanchang is like that in March in the rainy season. Summers here are very hot and humid and autumn is pleasantly warm and dry.
There are quite a few places to visit in Nanchang like Tang Wang Pavilion; there has been pavilion on and off that site since the Tang Dynasty. The most recent one opened in 1989. The site gives a great view of the city from the top floor balcony and you can also see the river from there. There are also cultural shows, and lots of neat places to buy things. The Jiangi Arts and Crafts Center is a porcelain museum and there is nearby porcelain. People's park has much to see and do. People's Park has a zoo with pandas. You will see Chinese families out and about leading their lives especially if you visit the park on the weekends. Gao Village is another interesting place to visit; it is just several miles out of the country.
