The MTV music awards 2005 were held in Miami, on August 28, and were planned, as whenever, to any vigorous detail. P.Diggy was the host of the awards, famous Lil'Jon composed the accompanying music specifically for the event for the first time in the history of the show and Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda successfully performed it. As always, the show turned into a high quality and incredible performance, including stunning musical "messages" from the past and these of the present.
Before the awards ceremony, MTV presented vivid performances by rappers Mike Jones, Slim Thug, and Paul Wall, an international hit "Pon De Replay" by Rihanna, and Fall Out Boy with driving to tears "Sugar, We're Goin'Down". An old but never forgotten melody "U Can't Touch This", performed by M.C. Hammer, highlighted the MTV music awards 2005 from the very beginning and "Speed of Sound", sung by Coldplay's Chris Martin from the cheap seats, showed the respect of all the celebrities towards the public.
The arrival of a great number of superstars via luxury yachts became a spectacular and grand addition to the MTV music awards image. Mariah Carey, Coldplay, 50 Cent, Green Day, Kelly Clarkson, the Killers, Shakira, Ludacris and Kanie West participated in the performance. Green Day became the owner of the most number of nominations with the song of a charming title "Boulevard of Broken Dreams".

People say that the MTV music awards contest is much more exciting performance than similar shows, including the Grammy awards and the American music awards. Possibly, one of the main reasons of it is that people like videos and the MTV channel in particular. Another explanation can be that the MTV music awards is regularly practicing a "grand feast" in honor of pop and rock, the most popular music genres, while the other shows cover various music scopes. The show is broadcasted live on TV and draws all the Europe to the TV screens for several days. This-year the MTV music awards have actually become a grand show; let us expect that the next one will be even better.
