Mountains have been always attracting people with their majesty, mystery and splendor. They are as eternal as the world itself, and it is really difficult to conquer a mountain. When look down from its top, it seems like you share the grandeur of the universe. For a short moment you stop being just a grain of sand in the human desert and become as great as the conquered mountain.
The second grade of mountains is aimed at experienced walkers. The difficult sections are not equipped with rails; you are to be able to orient yourself in the locality; the rope here is highly needed, because a fall may become fatal. Good mountaineering boots are absolutely necessary for mountain hiking in mountains of this grade.
Still, the most difficult rocks and mountains belong to the third grade, intended for very much experienced mountaineers. Such rocks may have ice sections and glaciers, and you are to use hands for the forward movement. This type of hiking is difficult enough, and you should keep some additional knowledge in your store, for example, rope handling.
But it is not necessary at all to choose isolated wild rocks for mountain hiking, especially if you have no experience and useful skills for this type of activity. You can make a wonderful trip in low mountains covered with bright green grass and high trees on. The nature is really admiring in such places, which makes you remember your small adventure very long. As for the trip duration, it may be different, depending on your mountain hiking experience, plans and the company you are going with.
Of course, hikers practising a great number of such trips in stock can make long expeditions lasting up to several weeks. But if you are a beginner in this sports field limit yourself with a couple of hours in hiking. You will get much pleasure and a deal of bright memories anyway. If you think about mountain hiking in future do not forget about the whole list of necessary things each mountaineer is to have when on a mountain trip.
The essential belongings a mountaineer to remember about, whether skilled or inexperienced, are crockery (a fork, a knife, a spoon, a cup), flashlight and batteries, insect repellent and, of course, sufficient supply of food and water. If you plan to hike more than a day don?t forget about a sleeping bag, mattress, pillow and blanket.
Mountaineers are also to bear in mind that the weather in the mountains changes very quickly, so it is truly reasonable to take a rain jacket, sweater and some other clothes, which will protect you from cold and wet weather. If you have no experience in hiking you are strongly advised not to go to the mountains alone. There are lots of professional mountain guides in the world, who will willingly accompany you and your friends in this small adventure ready to help at any moment.
If you still think that a ski trip is the only thing to give pleasure in mountain regions ask any hiker ? and he will tell you how much you are wrong. Hiking is a very fascinating leisure pursuit, and people who have proved it once can?t resist its temptation in future. So, join the happy team of mountain hikers ? and you will hardly regret this novelty in your life having every prospect to become a most liked hobby horse.
