Meribel ski resort: the world of pleasure and happinessThe world gives a lot of possibilities to skiers from all the countries, as many of them have mountain chains on their territory. Besides, everybody can go to any ski resort of the world and have much pleasure there. But, of course, there are some resorts on the globe, which are the main, the finest and the most popular places for skiing and other winter sports. One of such resorts is Meribel.
France itself is a very popular country due to numerous attractions, which make millions of tourists visit it all the year round. But while summer makes almost all French cities popular, winter does this only with one place - the famous Three Valleys, the world's biggest ski resort.
Three Valleys area consists of three parts, as the name says. They are Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens. All these parts are popular and have a lot of admirers who come there each year to delight their favorite sports in a harmoniñ alliance with spectacular views and wonderful weather. Meribel ski resort is very large (ten times more than the US biggest ski resort) and unbelievably popular among people of all ages and skills. The territory consists of five major parts. The main town is Meribel Les Allues, which has two villages nearby: Meribel village, a place where numerous chalets with wonderful window views and perfect facilities are offered to tourists, and Meribel Le Raffort, a village, which is very unusual and very popular due to its gondola connection to the main skiing places. Raffort is a territory with private chalets and own minibus service, so if you hire a room or a house there you will be taken to the pistes by bus.
Meribel-Mottaret is an independent resort located high in the mountains, enormously popular in early and late seasons when the snow in the valley is already melted. But the fact is that any part of Meribel ski resort is really beautiful and has its own charm and pleasant things to do. This place is wonderful for any type of rest, whether active time passing or calm walking and nature observing. You may choose anything you want especially for yourself and delight your rest all vacation period through. Meribel ski resort has, indeed, something for everyone. But, of course, the main entertainment is skiing. Depending on your experience and skills, you may choose the places for activity. If you cannot ski at all there is a school at the resort where the qualified personnel will teach you how to get pleasure from this wonderful winter sport.
Beginners are welcomed in Altiport area, which has special protecting equipment. If you are an intermediate you may easily find a place for your skiing in any part of Three Valleys, and everywhere you will feel yourself happy and totally excited. Advanced skiers are not usually completely satisfied with Meribel skiing, so they prefer Courchevel; though, off-pistes of Meribel are also great in case you take a professional mountain guide with you to show you the best and the most interesting and exciting places. Meribel ski resort is also a good place for snowboarders, because there are special snowboard parks at the resort. If you are not interested in skiing or just want something special for evening time the resort has a plenty to offer, starting with numerous clubs and restaurants and finishing with fitness and gym rooms in case you haven't had enough activity during the day on the slopes. When in Three Valleys and in Meribel in particular, you will be able to find new friends, to get a lot of pleasure and to discover a new world of entertainment for yourself.
