If you decided to learn Indonesian, use the following information that could be very useful and cognitive.

Indonesia is a country rich in cultural diversity with hundreds of different ethnic groups. Each group has its own unique traditions and arts, making Indonesia a country of interest to students of anthropology, ethnomusicology, theater, and art.

It is easy to learn Indonesian. Within a month of beginning the program, you will find that you are already able to have some simple conversations in Indonesian, as well as to write short compositions using the language.

Each ethnic group also has its own local language, which they speak in addition to Bahasa Indonesia. On some islands, such as Sulawesi and in the Moluccas, local languages often vary from village to village. Such linguistic diversity, along with language change make Indonesia a fascinating country for those interested in linguistics. Linguists interested in historical linguistics, morphology, sociolinguistics, language shift and language attrition will find Indonesia a land that provides them with much material to work with.

If you are interested in an Indonesian language school in order to learn Indonesian in a methodical way, you can try to learn Indonesian in Bali.

The island lies a short distance from the eastern coast of Java, across the Strait of Bali.

The school described here is centrally located, about 5 minutes from the City Center, 10 minutes to Sanur beach and 30 minutes to the famous Kuta beach. This typical indonesian language school offers many facilities including: 17 classrooms, computer language lab and cafy, library with social room and Internet access. If students wish to use the Internet after school hours, an Internet cafe is located only 5 minutes away.

The school can accommodate 1000 students who learn Indonesian and other fields. The programs cater for all language levels from absolute beginners to the more advanced, include the use of course materials and provide a variety of options to enhance your program. Each course is two weeks in duration and additional weeks can be added. The school has 6 language levels, and the program follows a theme-based syllabus with tasks, designed to encourage you to use your newly acquired language in real life communication.

Grammar and vocabulary are taught as means of facilitating communication rather than end in themselves. The program also includes 20 hours of cultural studies, introducing Indonesian and particularly Balinese culture. The maximum numbers of students per group are 12.

The school also offers a cultural studies program, comprising of a series of lectures and workshops led by experts in the respective fields. Topics include Tourism in Bali, Dance and Music, Indonesian Business and Cultural Dos and Don'ts. There is also a full day trip at the weekend with an itinerary ,designed in liaison with the students.

There are two major objectives to learn Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) . One is to provide students with appropriate knowledge and skills to communicate effectively in standard Indonesian/Malay, and to be able to read critically a wide range of sources in these languages. The other is to develop through language study a sympathetic understanding of the complex and diverse cultures of the Malay world: Indonesia, Malaysia, East Timor, Brunei and Singapore.
