The Maine Innkeepers Association is proud to have the Maine Innkeepers Education Foundation as its affiliated member that maintains competitions among students, who pursue a career in the hospitality segment and annually announces over one hundred thousand dollars Hospitality Scholarship Awards. There are approximately two hundred recipients annually, who get four thousand dollars in scholarship each. The criteria for the selection of recipients are diverse and numerous. These comprise a desire for a career in the hospitality industry, a scholastic record, financial data, extra curricular activates and employment records. The Scholarship Awards are one of the activities that help create a competitive atmosphere among students of the hospitality industry as well as prepare a highly qualified and professional staff to be further employed in Maine hotels and restaurants.
