London Nightlife Continues to Evolve

Added: 03/07/2006

If you think London is just a place for sightseeing, then just wait until the sun sets. London is world famous for its party vibe and non-stop nightlife. From the thumping beats of dance clubs, laid-back jazz clubs to the chilled intimacy of smaller bar-clubs, London has something to offer to everyone from the most hardcore party animals to those looking for a quiet drink and conversation.

London nightlife is sparkling and seething with after hours drinking and dancing dens of all shapes and sizes. Dance clubs, comedy clubs, jazz clubs, pubs, theatres, casinos - London nightlife options are endless.

Get the party started at one of the best London nightclubs. Located in the foundations of a converted church, Mass nightclub has recently changed hands, been freshly painted and boasts a brand new space with a 350 capacity. Mass has a reputation for quality music. This year sees the return of Friday Nite Mass, the hottest R&B and basement nights in the capital. Plus old favorites such as Rodigan's Reggae and Aba Shanti-I are all being re-housed at Mass.

Built on the site of a Victorian meat cellar, London's original Fabric super club continues to boast the most sensational and eclectic line ups in the capital. Its global reputation is founded on its diversity and willingness to showcase new talents. The bass bleeds through the speakers inside the floor, the famous bed seats beckon to recline in style. Fabric Live on Fridays is regularly rammed and draws some of the biggest names in hip hop, drum and bass and electro. Saturdays are more glamorous, house orientated with the cream of the world's DJ talent.

Club 333 adds sensation to London nightlife. The 333/Mother bar complex was at the heart of the original Hoxton revolution. Music is the main thing at 333 featuring everything from the darkest drum n bass to crunchy beats and breaks.

The End kick started a new wave of clubbing in the capital with their killer sound system, hi-tech innovation and user-friendly ethos. The success of the club has led to the birth of stylish sister bar AKA and the success of the critically acclaimed End Recordings label. The cream of the world's DJ talents have all played in the famous booth in the middle of the dance floor. Daft Punk did their first live show at the End in the same year and Fatboy Slim was a resident when he hit the number one spot in the charts.

The pioneers of the multi-tasking music-dance-food concept, Cargo boast the most live music line up's in the capital. Cargo's most popular nights include Friday's Champion Sound- an action-packed night featuring top acts and new talent from the worlds of hip hop, electronica, funk, jazz and soul. Groove till dawn under the refitted railway arches of Cargo.

Turnmills is another hit of London nightlife. It is one of London's most established and best loved night spots. The club is famous for its super sonic sound system and friendly vibe. The dance music scene here embraces a wide variety of styles from house to trance, Latin beats and now techno. There are two critically acclaimed restaurants open all night long and the venue stretches over three intimate floors. So although Turnmills is sometimes labeled as Fabric's less attractive little sister it has a life and vibrancy of its own.

The fabulous Egg nightclub is spread out over three floors and is one of London's multi-media spaces.  The ground floor basement regularly hosts stomping house beats. Dancing the night away at one of nightclubs is probably the best way to experience the one-of-the-kind London nightlife!
