The Legoland in California is specially designed as a "country only for kids" with its thematic mini-lands, live shows, junior roller coasters and more than fifty rides and attractions.
The amusement rides impress with their variety and diversity of unforgettable experiences. The Volvo Driving School allows kids to drive along real streets and earn their very own driver's license. The Sky Patrol is a ride, where kids pilot their own helicopter. On the exciting Kid Power Towers, kids pull themselves up to a thirty-foot summit and then free fall. The Fairy Tale Brook is a ride for the whole family, as they sail gently through different fairy tale scenes, created from LEGO® brick characters. The Safari Trek is a journey in one of animal-print jeeps through the area, where life-size gorillas, giraffes, elephants and crocodiles are all made of Lego bricks. The Flying Squadron guarantees the bird-like flight aboard one of bi-planes.
Recently, the Legoland in California introduced a new and the only robo-coaster North America that permits riders to choose from a selection of maneuvers and intensities for a thrilling ride experience. Called the Knight's Tournament, the coaster takes riders into the medieval world of fearless knights and powerful dragons. This thrill ride does not have a track; it consists of six gold, stationary robotic arms that carry two passengers per ride. With their six working joints, the robotic arms can rotate and swivel in various directions, performing more than seventy maneuvers at five different levels. The arms have one point four million possible movement combinations, making every level a different experience.
The guests are welcomed to participate in interactive games, organized throughout theme lands of the Legoland in California. The Miniland USA is the heart of the Legoland in California. It is a replica of seven US regions, constructed with twenty million Lego bricks, accessible and seen from many places of the park. Among numerous attractions, the Mililand USA has the Block of Fame, an entertainment and educational, three-dimensional art gallery, featuring classic works of art and busts of historical figures and pop icons, all made out of Lego bricks.
The Explore Village offers Dig Those Dinos, an interactive area for young paleontologists, who dig for the "skeletal remains" of dinosaurs, such as claws, teeth and bones, buried in over thirty cubic yards of sand. They will find them! The Explore Village also has the Water Works, an interactive water play area, where kids play with music and water. The area includes the Magical Fountain, the Zany Zoo, Rain Maker, and the Stomp and Spritz.
The Fun Town is home to the Adventurers' Club, guaranteeing a journey through the Amazon rain forest, ancient Egypt and the Arctic - all made of LEGO® bricks, and the LEGO® Clubhouse, which invites kids to invent their own creations from Lego bricks and mosaic.
The Knight's Kingdom features the Hideaways, a multi-level play structure with ladders and catwalks to play and hide, and the Enchanted Walk, which is a beautiful garden setting, filled with life-like Lego models of animals, native to the area.
The Imagination Zone houses the Maniac Challenge, which grants forty personal computer systems, fully loaded with state-of-the-art games and Build and Test, the area, where young inventors and engineers can build a car and then test it in a competition.
