Laurier Library Rules and Regulations

It is important for all interested in business administration to determine whether your future career needs MBA or not , and if does, then to select your MBA degree accordingly. But no matter what university you choose, the study is impossible without books, to be more exact without university libraries. Library in students` minds is usually a dull place with strict grumbling attendance. But the things are different with Wilfrid Laurier Library, and the university as well.

It was in Wilfrid Laurier School of business when in 1976 it  began to  promote a part-time MBA program, and  in 1986 Wilfrid Laurel  University  offered Canada's first full-time one-year MBA program. Now there is a number of MBA programs at Wilfrid  Laurier University, inclusing fully integrated MBA, which gives the MBA degree for people interested in management. In addition-  a full range of undergraduate programs,  graduate programs in a variety of business fields up to the Doctorate level are available at the University as well. The MBA program at Wilfrid laurel  is a full content MBA offered in several formats and locations: full-time, executive or part-time residential  in the campus or outside it.

But no matter what kind of MBA you choose, the study is impossible without materials of the Wilfried Liaurier Library as it is also  of  the biggest in Canada, being  a member of the TriUniversity Group of Libraries (University of Waterloo, University of Guelph, Wilfrid Laurier University). The Laurier Library holds nearly 1.7 million books and journals. But don`t think it is a dull place with huge rows of shelves filled with books with strict  boring attendants.  Laurier Library  provides access to over 6,000 electronic reference tools and full text electronic journals. Students can use them both from the library building, or sitting at home. In the latter case they only havó to enter the personal code.
 In addition, the library through which access to a combined information collection in excess of 6 million print items is available. The  Laurier Library, being part of the  headquarters of the United Nations (ACUNS) Academic Council on the United Nations System,  which was previously hosted by Yale, Brown and Dartmouth,  posseses very raw manuscripts and valuable documents.
Lautrier Library is not only the stock of books, it is a gathering - place of most of students.   The thing is that Laurier Library` Cafe, located by the main door on the second floor,  is so popular among  them , that they prefer spending  timesitting at tables  in the cozy interior. That is why it had to be closed for the period of exam to give students the opportunity prepare properly. 
 For these purposes there is a lot of  facilities, as group study rooms, which  are available for collaborative study and research all the day long. One can even bring animals there provided that they are used for research and study aims.
And of course, Laurier Library , as each municipal establishment posesses its own regulations concerning external borrowers and casual visitors otherwise their rights are to be limited. 
 For example, Laurier Library users wishing to use cellular telephones should do so in the stairwells of the building, no hot food may be consumed, and the request of al the activities to be conducted in a quiet manner to avoid disturbing other library users. Nothing outstanding of  the common demands of each Library if taking into account Laurier Library` s being a perfect and outstanding scientific centre.
