General information about Iranian visa
Embassies of Iran are located in different countries of the world and their activities are various. The main activity of the embassy is visa support. Everyone who is going to Iran needs a visa. Embassy can contribute in issuance of a visa in coordination with Iran's foreign ministry Visa Department. Iran has same requests for a visa and like other countries offers various kinds of visas. At the same time there are many changes in visa policy of Iran.
After providing the necessary information on the form above Iranian embassy will apply to the foreign Ministry for a visa. This process will take between 5 to 8 working days in principal. Visa Authorization will be sent to an applicant and simultaneously to the Iran consulate or embassy, wherein applicant like to collect this visa.
This Visa authorization refers to the application file at the foreign ministry, whereby the Iranian Embassy will issue a visa.
An Applicant may also choose to apply independently for a visa at any Iranian embassy or consulate around the world.
In all cases, the application would eventually end up to the Iran foreign ministry visa department in Tehran for final decision makings, except transit visas which the local embassy has the authority to decide the case and issue a visa.
Nationals of Israel will be refused entry under all circumstances.
Required by all except nationals of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey (for a stay not exceeding 3 months). Requirements are subject to change at short notice, and you are advised to contact the appropriate Embassy or Consular Section.
Embassies of Iran offer the following types of visa: Entry, Transit, Business, Tourist and Journalist. Fee varies according to nationality of applicant, type of' visa and the existing regulation between countries. A visa cannot be issued for passports which have a validity of less than 6 months. Exit permits required by all (often included with visa). Validity: Entry visa: up to 3 months from date of authorization.

One-week visas are currently being issued at the airports of Tehran (Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini), Kish, Isfahan, and Shiraz and that those airports begin issued 15-day visas, Iranian newspapers reported.
Developing international relations Iran has tried to expand Iran's exchanges with other countries in different fields and help attract foreign tourists to Iran and Central Asia. As Iranian newspapers confirm that seven-day visas for foreigners are currently being issued in the airports of Tehran, Shiraz, Mashhad and Tabriz, Isfahan.
