Hospital medical staff is still working while you are on holiday

When you are going traveling, the last thing you want to think about is getting to hospital. Unfortunately, there are some cases, when you simply cannot avoid it. That is the reason why it is highly recommended by all travel agencies that you should buy insurance before going abroad. It is a wise thing to do, as you never know what can happen during your travel and medical services abroad may cost you an arm and a leg if you do not have the insurance. Certainly, in cases of a light headache, caused by adaptation to a different climate, or a stomachache after trying unusual foreign cuisine, you can do without doctors if you only put necessary medicine into your travel bag.

Sometimes it happens that you get seriously ill or injured and have to deal with a hospital medical staff. If your tour operator knows his job properly, he will take care that you have all the necessary assistance, when you get into trouble far away from home. In all countries, which are popular among travelers, there are special hospitals, dealing with holiday makers, who are non-residents of the country. These hospitals have a medical staff office, where they consider the seriousness of the case, prescribe some treatment and medicine required and give all the information about the cost and ways of payment.

The hospital medical staff, dealing with people who got sick while on holidays, get a special training. They must realize that most of their patients are feeling miserable, frustrated and angry with the whole world, since they have to spend precious time at the hospital .Some of them simply will refuse to listen to any explanations and calming words because they think that you are also responsible (as a representative of this country)for your troubles.

The Hospital medical staff is a special category of people, who see sufferings and pain every day and sometimes it is too hard and even unbearable to work in such conditions. However, somebody has to do this job as well.

In case you experience any health problems and you do not have insurance (though it rarely happens), contact the local branch of your tour operator immediately. It is going to be their representative's responsibility to get in touch with the hospital medical staff and control the situation. At the hospital you will be thoroughly examined and cured.

Most of the cases, which usually take place, are not serious, but light injuries during rafting or other activities or indigestion problems, caused by cuisine peculiarities, and you will not need a complicated assistance of the hospital medical staff.

Everybody remembers a bomb explode at Hilton Taba Hotel in Sharm-el-Sheikh and tsunami in Thailand last year. These catastrophes caused a lot of victims and hospitals had to treat two-three times as many patients with very serious injuries than they normally do. That is the reason why most travel agencies insist on buying insurance, when going traveling to far away places, as in this case you are guaranteed the right to claim assistance from the hospital medical staff.

Although physicians and other hospital medical staff are diverse and well-trained, you should do everything in order not to get into any trouble during your vacation. Even if you spend half of the day at the hospital, your holiday mood will be definitely spoilt. It is actually quite easy to avoid getting into hospital. Now we are not speaking about natural calamities or terrorist acts, but of rather ridiculous cases, as a result of which you get into hospital. Sometimes it is enough to be careful, follow your guide's instructions and advice about food, behavior and other particulars while in a foreign country and do only those things, which you are hundred percent sure you know how to.
