HEC International -- Europe?s leading business school

Added: 11/25/2005

HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) is a prestigious higher education establishment situated in one of the most luxurious capitals of the world -- Paris. For a long time it has been a number 1 Grand Ecole -- 'number 1 educational institution' -- in France. Today it is not only top one in France, it is one of the best business schools in the whole Europe with a deserved international name and approval. If you want to become one of its students and go down in its history you are always welcome at HEC International.

'Local roots, global reach'. It is a precise characteristic of HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) -- one of the top business schools in Europe and No 1 Grand Ecole in France. It can be fairly called 'international school of management' inasmuch as it has worldwide recognition and accreditation, as well as a unique international experience. It is the first graduate school in France to hold the Triple Crown Accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

As for global experience of this management school, it is impressive. For many years HEC International has been pioneering a truly global and cross-cultural approach -- a community of post graduate students, faculty and corporate partners coming from around the world to immerse themselves in HEC experience. HEC International has become one of the fathers of the Program in International Management (PIM) set up in 1973 with the New York University (NYU) and the London Business School (LBS). This was the first agreement in the world as regards international experience, namely, international exchange between business schools. Nowadays PIM involves over fifty members -- universities and business schools all over the world.

HEC International is also one of the members of the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS). This unit of 17 of Europe's most highly regarded business schools with more than 50 international companies was founded in 1988 to define European curriculum. Since the first CEMS degree was awarded in 1988, more than 2500 graduates of 35 different nationalities have successfully taken stands in the European business community.

Students of HEC International also have the opportunity to spend the academic term as exchange program participants with one of HEC's bilateral agreement partners (over 100). The following exchange program facilities are made available: 73 nationalities in a campus, MBA (80% international students), over 200 exchange students per year, 80 visiting Professors and Affiliate Professors each year, 9 foreign languages taught.

To add, HEC has developed six centres of expertise: HEC European Institute, HEC International Finance Club, Centre for Resources and English Activities (CREA), HEC Eurasia Institute, HEC -- Central and Eastern Europe Centre, and the HEC Latin America Centre. All these institutions specialize in international educational engineering, academic links development in the countries involved, students recruiting, service providing to local or French businesses, as well as research works publishing.

HEC International has gained worldwide acclaim for its superior programs, revolutionary research and excellent student bulk. International experience is unique when taking critical business decisions. All these factors have turned the school into one of Europe's leading business training institutions.
