Grand Cayman island, as part of Cayman islands, consists of coral islands set in the northwest Caribbean Sea,  well known for its underwater beauty.  Compared with its tiny sisters, Grand Cayman is party island. As the largest and by far the most active of the three,  Grand Cayman attracts 99 percent of the pleasure seekers, who want to enjoy the unspoilt beauty of a heaven-like island. But of course, Grand Cayman is a kind of Mecca for every self- respected diver, because there is hardly a place on the globe to contest with Grand Cayman isle in beauty of underwater  'landscapes'. The diving is still excellent - you'll swear you've taken a plunge into a pet-shop fish tank. During most sunlight hours you'll be water-bound - hoisting your gear onto an early-morning dive boat or positioning yourselves for optimal tanning, and you can spend an entire day floating in azure waters as clear as your hotel swimming pool. Warm and humid, showing little seasonal variation, the average day in Grand Cayman  is tropically pleasant. Prevailing tradewinds are delightfully cool in the winter months, and a light sweater may be necessary in those evenings to remain comfortable. When enjoying outdoor activities, the sun can damage the skin and we  advise again always to wear sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. The rainy season starts in May and lasts through October, the two rainiest months being May and October and March and April are usually the driest months (water temperature ranges between 82°F to 86°F , relative humidity varies from 68% to 92%).  The average annual rainfall is about 46 inches, so it is reasonable not to plan a long lasting holiday in Grand Cayman  within these months. On Grand Cayman, a hotel without a watersports shop is a rare sight, but those who want to check out the underwater sights without getting wet can descend 100 feet on the air-conditioned  submarine. Some companies also offer high-ticket 800-foot descents to a shipwreck in a two-person sub. So you see it is impossible to leave the place without enjoying the sea beauties, at least buying handicraft coral jewelry.  Nights in Grand Cayman are laid-back, so those who don't have an early-morning dive gravitate to Ramada's Treasure Island nightclub and Island Rock disco. But  don`t think that tall the advantages of civilization  and the number of tourist will spoil the image of innocent Grand Cayman nature. It's nice to know that fame hasn't spoiled Grand Cayman. The common thing for native people both on Grand Cayman and in Cathedral city in California, who managed to preserve their inherent naïve view of life. As for the cathedral city, it still deserves your attention as a destination of friendly neighborhoods, lush country clubs and  diverse shopping opportunities, though of course nothing will compare with Grand cayman`s underwater wonder.   So a large percentage of Grand Cayman visitors are repeats, who drawn back by fond memories of the great vacations they had. To see newfound or old Caymanian friends, because the place is famous not only through all these facilities, but also as a home to some of the friendliest people in the world. Should you choose to travel to the Grand Cayman or to the cathedral city, you will no doubt make many friends who you will look forward to seeing again, year after year.
