There is plenty to see and lots to do in Idaho. Please try to hike on a trail, take a raft on a river, or cast a line in a lake or pond. The door to the state is always open to adventure seekers or outdoor enthusiasts or those people who just wish to get outside to play and the adventure usually starts with the Idaho airports. You can't avid them because they are your gateway to the state. The following list is Idaho airports that serve the state.
The Boise Airport serves Idaho's capital that is on the southwestern corner of the state. Many years ago the airport wanted a long term expansion plan with the first phase of the plan opening to the public in June of 2003 and the second phase scheduled for completion in late 2004. The airport is served by two major airports including two low cost airlines called Frontier and Southwest. United Airlines which traces its beginnings to Boise is the only airline to have continuously serving Boise since 1933. The airport offers twenty non stop flights primarily to the Western and Midwest region of the country.

The recently renovated terminal was completed in December 2002 is served by Sky West and Delta Airlines with frequent daily flights to Salt lake City Utah, Horizon and Air Alaska Airlines with frequently daily flights to Boise Idaho, and Northwest Airlines with frequent daily flights to Minnesota and Allegiant Air with weekly flights to Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Lewiston Nez Pierce County Airport is located at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers in the southern Lewiston. The valley is rather narrow with its range of hills that slop to the north and slop abruptly to about 2,000 feet above the valley floor. It is a public airport that has two runways.
The Southeast Idaho's Pocatello Regional Airport is located just west of the city along the Snake River and the historic Oregon Trail with easy access to the freeway.
The IFR Airport is served by two regional air carriers named Sky West and Delta and Horizon Air and Alaska Air.
