Taco Bell is a fast food restaurant chain, which was founded in California on March 21, 1962. Two years later a first franchise was sold. The company became a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc. in 2002. Yum! Brands also owns such fast food enterprises as KFC and Pizza Hut. Taco Bell serves food based on Americanized Mexican cuisine, also called Tex-Mex cuisine.

As chicken items grow in popularity, fast food companies have begun to introduce more chicken choices into their menus. One such creation is the quesadilla, which is considered to be quite a masterpiece of Mexican cuisine. Today the quesadilla is offered in many fast food restaurants. Taco Bell has recently introduced its Chicken Quesadilla with a concentrated marketing campaign.
