Junk food in schools is harmful to a student's health, especially when that student is a young child. Nevertheless junk food remains popular because it's inexpensive, convenient to consume and tasty. Fast food companies make good use of children's fondness for junk food, by reaching agreements with schools for example, when they place vending machines on school premises.
