Sea is amazingly beautiful; it strikes by its incomparable fauna, by the colours of the aquatic plants and the hectic life that doesn't stop for a second. Since the ancient times artists have been admiring the sea waters, praising its power. The sound of waves rolling on the shore or breaking by the shore rocks has inspired a great lot of the men of art. Sea has kept its secrets for thousands and thousands of years, not all the mysteries of the sea have been uncovered up to these days. Both deep sea diving and deep sea fishing are very popular activities these days because they provide divers with the unique opportunity of watching the natural sea world.
Fishing is deeply rooted in thousands of different cultures throughout the world and today it is not only an activity done for food. It also involves incomparable hunter's pleasure and a feeling of competition, that is why fishing is so often regarded as a sport activity.
To fish or not to fish? For thousands of men it is not a question anymore, they choose their favourite fishing technique (it usually depends on the location and season, and it is possible to define shore fishing, sea fishing and ice fishing as the main of them) and fishing tackle and start for a serene place to enjoy harmony with nature and satisfy their hunting instincts.
Sea fishing is the technique used by fishermen in an open sea, from a fishing boat. There is a wide range of fishing boats that can be used for personal pleasure fishing, for example, a two-person fishing boat and huge and heavy (up to eight tons) commercial fishing boat, used in food industry. Such boats can haul in over a billion fish at once.
Almost any fishing boat has the same parts, with some variations, depending on its purpose and size. Traditionally, all the boats have a deck, the roughly horizontal part with specific structures spanning the hull. Then follows the deck head, which is the underside part of the deck. In the very front part there is the bow or prow, at the rear side of the boat there is a stern. The sides have also their specific usage, according to which the right one is called the starboard and the left - the port. The captain's place is usually regarded as the wheelhouse or cockpit (again, it depends on the design of the boat).
If it is not the simplest two-person fishing boat, then it must contain one or several compartments, including the toilet (head).
That is what a boat or a fishing yacht is usually like. Traditionally, all the boats, even the simplest ones have their registry numbers and names. Sometimes boats are sold having their names already inscribed on their sides, rarely you, as the owner or the customer, have an opportunity to call you boat yourself. By the way, it is not a very easy task, as it is known that the way you call your boat determines the way it will sail, so be careful while choosing the name! It can be just a funny or beautiful word or it can also hold some meaning that is important for you.
On your fishing boat you can be alone with the wind blowing into your face, alone with the romanticized beauty of the sea, enjoying solitude and inner harmony.
