They say that first class necessarily requires high prices. Naturally, train tickets are more expensive than bus tickets but within the classes difference in prices is really trifle. First of all, top class UK rail travel is more convenient, as the carriages have larger seats, more space both for you and your baggage. But please mind! It is usually required to buy this ticket before you start your UK rail travel. If not - you are to pay a fine or to buy a more expensive ticket.
And remember that it is better to have a valid rail ticket that is valid for more than one day -you can use this to visit an attraction within that same one month period of return travel validity.
