Finding comfortable city accommodationsBefore every vacations one starts choosing the way of spending them. In fact the variants are numerous. You may go to the seaside, stay at a small bungalow or at some fashionable resort hotel, you may go travelling, hushing through the towns and countries, you may rent a cabin in some national park to feel the nature. And so on. But also you can stay at a city. But not in the one you live and work in. It can be any city of the world you'd like to see. Each one has it's unique architecture, memorable places, restaurants where national kitchen is served, beautiful streets, parks to walk through and places to hang out and relax. And of course each one will offer you a wide range of city accommodations for tourists. To choose the one that suits you just fine isn't the last moment about planning your journey.
The city accommodations as every other can be either luxury or budget. And of course the are always some sort of medium variants. Your finances will tell you which variant to choose. Mind that budget accommodation doesn't mean bad accommodation or something. It can be enough suitable and comfortable.
The important thing about any city accommodations is theirs' location. It should definitely be the center of the city. And we all understand that it's not a caprice. However great the room you are offered may be - you come to the city to hang out, to eat out, to see the city. So your city inn is supposed to be situated not far from the main bus routs, various places of interest, restaurants, shops and etc. It would be just perfect if you are able to walk to them in just few minutes not to waste the precious vacations time on driving hours and miles.
Still the facilities of an inn and the quality of the room is an important point too. Different city inns and hotels have different amount of rooms. Especially if you are coming in the top of the tourist season you may find that they have no rooms suitable for you. With the single, double and twin rooms there are usually not so many problems. But if you are bringing your family with you or coming with friends you should seek and book beforehand the ensuite rooms or dormitories for n-persons in the inns that have them. Mind that not every does.
About the room facilities... Well, rooms should be tidy, with fresh towels, linens and good room service. In winter time it's essential that they should be well heated, in summer time - well air-conditioned. Most of the guests prefer to have an opportunity to watch national and satellite TV channels. Nowadays almost every city inn room has a TV-set as well as a private bathroom. Of course you may still find inn rooms that have neither of this.
In the city it's reasonable to search for the city accommodation with electronic locks on the room doors and personal code safes for the valuables.
Finally it's a great plus if your city inn will have a good bar working till early morning and it's own cafe or restaurant. Also it's very real to find city accommodations with an inner swimming pool or a billiard room and some other attractive facilities.
