Experience Thrills And Excitement With Adventureland AttractionsFound on the Walt Disney World, as well as all Disneyland properties, Adventureland Parks are themed lands that are designed to resemble the renowned places of Africa, Asia, South America, and the Middle East. They were designed with the primary aim to create a land that is far from civilization in the remote jungles of Africa and Asia. With their plentiful attractions and renowned Disney characters, Adventureland Parks are considered to be the most popular tourist destinations.
One of the greatest Adventureland attractions, the Jungle Cruise, can be found at the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Tokyo Disneyland theme parks. It was one of the 22 attractions that were introduced to Disneyland in July 1955. In fact, one of the cruise boats was painted gold for the 50th celebration in 2005! The only Magic Kingdom theme park which doesn't feature the Jungle Cruise is Disneyland Paris, since it is not seen as a unique attraction by the European audience. In 2004, the Walt Disney Company decided to adapt the Jungle Cruise into a motion picture of the same name, which would follow footsteps of such prominent Adventureland attractions as the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Country Bear Jamboree, all of which have been adapted for the big screen.
Opened in March 1995, Indiana Jones Adventure: the Temple of the Forbidden Eye is one of the major Adventureland attractions at Disneyland, based on the Indiana Jones films. It takes guests on a great adventure during the ride through the lost temple with Indiana Jones. A similar ride, known as Indiana Jones Adventure: the Temple of the Crystal Skull,can be found at the Disney Sea theme park in Tokyo.
What makes the attraction so popular and effective, is a unique combination of thrills and theme objects, as well as the method of delivering thrills. The ride system, invented specially for the Indiana Jones Adventure, has been used in two other rides, including Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull and Dinosaur: Countdown to Extinction.
Located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California is one of the most famous and visited Adventureland attractions. Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room was introduced in June 1963, and was the first attraction to include Audio-Animatronics. Owned personally by Walt Disney, the Enchanted Tiki Room was at first separated from other Disneyland's attractions owned by the Walt Disney Company. Originally, the show was intended to be a restaurant, featuring Audio-Animatronic birds, singing serenades to the guests.
